Your data privacy is important. Data Ownership The data you upload to eDictus (or grant eDictus access to via integration with a third-party software application) remains your company’s data. eDictus is storing and organizing it, but it is still your data. We’ll access it only for support purposes or to correct technical issues. We’ll only access your data with your permission. eDictus will never rent or sell your data to any third parties. Account Information Upon registration, eDictus asks for account information such as your name and email address. Additional users of your account also need to provide their name and email address. eDictus will not sell or rent this identifying information to any third party or use it in our marketing efforts without your consent. eDictus may also track your usage of our website and services to better understand how eDictus is utilized and to improve our services. You can always access and update the account information eDictus stores about you. eDictus may also provide non-personal, summary or group statistics about our customers to reputable third-party vendors, but this data will include no personal identifying information. Account Deletion You may choose to end your subscription with eDictus at any time. When you cancel your subscription, your account information will be kept by eDictus for 60 days to allow you to easily re-start your subscription and access your existing data. After 60 days, eDictus will delete your account and all of its information. If you would like eDictus to delete your account prior to the 60 day limit, you can submit a written request at eDictus.com/support. Law Enforcement eDictus may disclose your data or account information to respond to lawful legal requests such as subpoenas or court orders (including requests to meet national security requirements). Unless legally prevented from doing so, eDictus will inform you of such requests. eDictus may also share information if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law. Data Security We take technical security seriously. eDictus maintains reasonable security measures to protect your information from loss, destruction, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure. We log access to your data to protect it from unauthorized access. Transmission of sensitive information such as credit card numbers are encrypted using SSL. Back-ups of your data on our servers are encrypted. It is important to note that no transmission of data over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure and eDictus cannot therefore guarantee 100% security. Cookies, Tracking, Analytics and Logs eDictus and our partners may use “cookies”, “beacons”, tags and scripts to track the use of our services and web site. You can control the use of cookies as an individual in your browser, but restricting the use of cookies may limit your ability to use some areas of our web site or services. eDictus gathers information about the use of our web site, such as IP address, referring pages and operating system. This data does not identify individual users and is not linked to individual users. Third Parties eDictus uses reputable third party partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology. Deleted Data You can always delete your data. If you delete uploaded data in eDictus while maintaining your account, it will be available in your trash can for sixty days. If you cancel your account with us, we’ll store your uploaded data and account information for thirty days and then delete it. Business Ownership eDictus may assign or transfer this privacy policy and your account information and data to any person or entity that acquires or is merged with eDictus. You will be notified via email and a prominent notice on the eDictus web site of any change in ownership, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information. Changes and Questions eDictus may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or notice on the eDictus web site prior to such changes becoming effective. Your continued use of the eDictus web site and services constitutes your agreement to be bound by this privacy policy. Your only remedy, if you do not accept the terms of this privacy policy, is to discontinue use of the website and services.
